Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account info: email, handle, display name, optional avatar, bio, and birthday.
- Content you post: celebrations, messages on gifts, and replies.
- Usage data: basic logs (IP, device, timestamps) to keep the App secure and working.
What we do NOT collect
CelebrateMeApp never receives or stores:
- Full credit/debit card numbers, expiry dates, or CVCs.
- Bank account or routing numbers.
- Government IDs, Social Security numbers, or tax ID numbers.
- Date of birth used for identity verification (separate from your public profile birthday).
All of that is collected and held by Stripe directly, in their PCI-DSS Level 1 certified environment. We only receive a token plus high-level status (e.g. "this account is verified", "this payout was paid").
What Recipients (Makers) see about Senders
When someone sends you a gift, you can see: their display name and handle (unless they chose to send anonymously), the amount, and any message they wrote. You do not see their email, card number, billing address, phone number, or any other personal information. Senders cannot see your bank or payout details either — those live in Stripe.
How we use your information
- To run the App (show your profile, deliver gifts, send notifications).
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and spam.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
- Stripe — payments, payouts, identity verification. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Hosting & database — used to store your account and content.
- Email — used for transactional notifications.
Your rights
You can edit your profile, delete your celebrations, or delete your account at any time. To request a copy of your data or full deletion, email privacy@celebrateme.app. Note: payment records held by Stripe may be retained by Stripe for legal/tax reasons even after your CelebrateMeApp account is deleted.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We'll post any material changes in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
